On the basis of analyzing the connotation and limitations of the flying geese model theory systematically, the paper, drawing on flying geese model, explores the route of promoting the coordinative development of regional economy in Jiangsu Province in view of the echelon characteristics of regional economic development and the current situation of the industrial structure in Jiangsu.
