借鉴直动从动件凸轮机构轴心区域确定的新方法，推广到摆杆凸轮机构中，使摆杆凸轮机构轴心区域较传统区域进一步缩小，使凸轮基圆半径的确定更为准确；同时发现改变轴心区域的因素除运动规律、许用压力角、摆杆长度及凸轮和摆杆的相对转向外，还有摆杆的最大摆角。
