A dimercaptothiadiazole dimer containing ester groups was synthesized,and its tribological performance as the antiwear additive of 12-hydroxystearate lithium grease was evaluated on a four-ball tester and the friction surface of the steel ball after test was also investigated by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS),scanning electron microscope(SEM) and energy dispersive spectroscope(EDS).
