This paper improve a downdraft kiln’s combustion equipment and numerically simulated the flow with FLUENT that is a CFD software.

Abstract: In order to investigate the thermal process, environment effect and energy consumption of downdraft kiln, a coal-fired down-draft kiln in practical operation for silica bricks is determinated by means of process parameter analysis and thermal balance.
