The relation between oil evaporation surface and evaporation loss is studied, and oil evaporation surface is incorporated into Varevskii-Chernikin Formula, this make it find a better application in the calculation of evaporation loss of oil with surface cover; Various methods taken in China and abroad for reducing the evaporation loss of light fuel oil are summarized and evaluated.
